Polycaprolactone (PCL) typically comes as uniform smooth microspheres held in a carboxymethycellulose (CMC) gel. Both components are fully biodegradable.
The CMC gel provides an immediate filling effect, which absorbs over months, while the PCL stimulates collagen production for a natural looking, secondary filling effect lasting up to1 to 2 years.
